I began coding late in my middle school career. After first seeing the matrix trilogy, I was instantly inspired to focus my desire for knowledge on computers. After learning my first language, C++, I wrote a program and took it to competition. My first ACTE competition opened my eyes to the idea that their were other similar to me. I was thrilled to find out that my perpetual drive to understand was not isolated. I continued to expand my horizons in programming, learning new languages and relevant systems. I believe it is the purity that drove me. The computer is unique in that it receives commands and obeys them exactly. It understands not how to make errors, but only how to follow directions. This makes it a perfect candidate for an outlet for those of us who live to comprehend. |
